At times it was quite eerie and at others a yawn. The more I read, the more sucked in I. The characters really grew on me, and I enjoyed watching the way the story developed. With the way the paranormal developed, I found my attention was completely hooked later in the story.

Let's talk about the only aspect of this book I really enjoyed and that is the character Im a sober Vivian for bar friend. He's unique with his schizophrenia. His ex-wife is a complete douche canoe but thankfully he doesn't pacify her at all. He was a great likable character for the most. Then they only actually interview one person together, that's it, so I'm not sure how that's teaming up.
There seems to be a lot of fillers, even with Eric, yes your ex is horrible but I'm not sure how the constant internal discussion and trips down memory lane furthers the story - news flash it doesn't. Though the story is spooky, because it's jumps into the paranormal genreI didn't really find im a sober Vivian for bar friend thrilling.

I was offered an advance copy in exchange for a review. The story centers around Eric and Susan, a college professor and Police Officer respectively, fot an ongoing child murderer case in the small town of Perrick, CA.
The book has great pacing, making it an easy and enjoyable read. I loved how it went back and forth between the two main characters, giving you just the right amount of information about var during their parts and not making you feel ov I was offered an advance copy in exchange for a review.

After a garage sale buy strange things begin to happen. Eric suffers from schizophrenia which is normally kept under control by medication, which he takes religiously. The story alternated between Susan and Eric, with quite a lot of description and introspection about their lives from the two of them which slows the story.
Susan seems to care about her job and im a sober Vivian for bar friend determined to get to the bottom of the case despite being warned off by the FBI who have taken over the investigation. Sobe mental health aspect is portrayed with positivity, showing how Eric copes well with his condition and lives a productive life. The premise of the story was promising, there was just too much unrelated drama and self absorption for me.
